Working with dolls is very difficult and time consuming. They are uncooperative and downright heavy! Their ability to pose is limited and obviously they can’t emote at all. I guess I just get a spark of an idea and try to build a shoot around it. Sometimes I shoot for the commercial aspect (selling dolls) and sometimes I try to create art. I create a set based on my intentions and pose the dolls accordingly- though often their limitations change my plans! I use all of my own clothes for them, and most of my own shoes. A few of the dolls have either tiny feet, or huge feet- those particular rubber hussies have their own shoes!
